Application effect of the SPOC blended mode in the neurology practice teaching of undergraduates
Objective To study the application effect of the small private online course(SPOC)blended mode in the neurology practice teaching of undergraduates.Methods A total of 180 undergraduates majoring in clinical medicine who were interns in the neurology department of our hospital from September to December 2020 were selected and divided into SPOC group and traditional teaching group according to random number table method,with 90 students in each group.The SPOC group adopted SPOC blended mode,while the traditional teaching group adopted traditional teaching method.The internship effects were compared between the two groups.Results The theoretical assessment and skill assessment scores of the SPOC group were higher than those of the traditional teaching group(P<0.05).The assessment of clinical diagnosis and treatment thinking ability in the SPOC group was better than that in the traditional teaching group(P<0.05).The scores of mastery of theoretical knowledge,doctor-patient communication ability,learning interest,analysis and problem solving ability and teamwork ability of the SPOC group were higher than those of the traditional teaching group(P<0.05).The scores of teaching content,teaching method,teaching effect and overall satisfaction for teachers in the SPOC group were higher than those in the traditional teaching group(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared to traditional teaching method,the SPOC blended mode can improve the mastery of theoretical knowledge,practical operation skills and teaching satisfaction of neurology interns.
