Research and practice of"flash course"teaching model for morning handover targeting medical internship students
Objective To explore the application effect of"flash course"teaching model in the morning handover of interns'clinical practice. Methods A total of 152 undergraduate medical interns who received teaching training in the spinal surgery department of West China Hospital of Sichuan University from September 2021 to September 2022 were included in this study, and the medical interns were divided into control group(n=73)and experimental group(n=79)according to the random number table method. The control group adopted the traditional teaching model, and the experimental group adopted the"flash course"teaching model. After 2 weeks of practice, the subjective questionnaire survey, theoretical knowledge and practical operation assessment results of the two groups were compared. Results The scores of"clear learning objectives with emphasis on difficult areas""combination of theoretical knowledge and clinical practice""improving attention in clinical learning""being able to supervise pre-class preparation"and"improving independent thinking ability"in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The theoretical knowledge assessment score of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group(P=0.038).Conclusion The"flash course"teaching mode of morning handover helpful to improve the teaching effect, learning status and self-learning ability of clinical medicalinterns, and enhance the mastery of theoretical knowledge of interns. This mode is worth promoting as a supplement to the existing morning shift.
