Investigation and analysis of the status quo of readiness for hospital discharge in elderly patients with stroke disability
Objective To investigate the status quo of readiness for hospital discharge in elderly patients with stroke disability,and to analyze its influencing factors.Methods A total of 333 elderly patients with stroke disability in a tertiary hospital in Guangxi were comprehensively evaluated and investigated for the status quo of readiness for hospital discharge by using the questionnaire on the status quo of readiness for hospital discharge of elderly patients with stroke disability and the sense of security scale for the elderly in hospital.Multiple linear regression analysis was used to analyze the related factors affecting the readiness for hospital discharge of elderly patients with stroke disability.Results The total score of readiness for hospital discharge of elderly patients with stroke disability was(101.95±13.14)points,the total score of sense of security was(96.83±11.73)points,and the total score of self-care ability was(52.78±13.18)points.The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that the times of hospitalization,complications,self-care ability and sense of security were the main influencing factors of readiness for hospital discharge in elderly patients with stroke disability(P<0.05).Conclusion The readiness for hospital discharge of elderly patients with stroke disability is at a moderate level.Medical staff should strengthen health education and discharge guidance for patients and their families,provide high-quality continuity of care services,and reduce the incidence of complications and readmission after discharge.
