Impact of effort-reward imbalance on job burnout in medical staff
Objective To explore the relationship between medical staff's effort-reward imbalance,work-family conflict,professional identity and job burnout,and to develop a model linking effort-reward imbalance and job burnout of medical staff.Methods The convenience sampling method was adopted to investigate 625 medical staff in several hospitals in China by general situation questionnaire,effort-reward imbalance questionnaire,word-family conflict scale,professional identity scale and job burnout scale from May to June 2022.Results There were significantly correlations between job burnout and effort-reward imbalance,work-family conflict and professional identity among medical staff(P<0.01).Effort-reward imbalance positively predicts job burnout(P<0.001).The mediating effect of work-family conflict on the effort-reward imbalance and job burnout was significant(P<0.001).The moderating effect of professional identity on the effort-reward imbalance and job burnout was significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Medical staff's effort-reward imbalance has a positive predictive effect on job burnout.Work-family conflict plays a mediating role between effort-reward imbalance and job burnout,and professional identity plays a moderating role between effort-reward imbalance and job burnout.
