Application effect of case management model in patients undergoing radical prostatectomy and its influence on self-care ability
Objective To explore the application effect of case management model in patients undergoing radical prostatectomy and its influence on self-care ability. Methods A total of 90 patients who underwent radical prostatectomy from January 2020 to December 2021 were selected as the research objects and divided into control group and observation group according to the random number table method, with 45 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing intervention, and the observation group was given case management model intervention. The intervention effects of the two groups were compared. Results The postoperative intestinal function recovery time of the observation group was shorter than that of the control group, the postoperative maximum flow rate(Qmax)was higher than that of the control group, and the postoperative post-voiding residual urine volume(PVR)and prostate specific antigen level were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).At 3 and 6 months after operation, the total effective rate of urinary control in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).At 6 months of follow-up,the scores of each dimension and total score of the Exercise of Self-Care Agency Scale(ESCA)in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The case management model can improve the urinary control ability of patients undergoing radical prostatectomy, effectively reduce the risk of urinary incontinence, improve their self-care ability, and promote postoperative recovery.
