Effect of endovenous laser treatment combined with injection of lauromacrogol foam hardener in the treatment of varicose veins of the lower extremities
Objective To investigate the effect of endovenous laser treatment(EVLT)combined with injection of lauromacrogol foam hardener in the treatment of varicose veins of the lower extremities. Methods A total of 110 patients with varicose veins of the lower extremities admitted in our hospital from March 2021 to February 2022 were selected and randomly divided into study group(68 cases)and control group(42 cases). The study group was treated with EVLT combined with injection of lauromacrogol foam hardener, while the control group was treated with traditional high ligation and extraction of the great saphenous vein. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. Results The operation time and hospital stay of the study group were shorter than those of the control group, and the amount of blood loss during operation was less than that of the control group(P<0.05).The total incidence of postoperative complications in the study group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The total effective rate of treatment in the study group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion EVLT combined with injection of lauromacrogol foam hardener is effective in the treatment of varicose veins of the lower extremities,it has the advantages of less trauma, faster recovery and fewer complications.
