Application of Balint group activity in improving the humanistic care ability of newly recruited nurses
Objective To explore the effect of Balint group activity on the humanistic care ability of newly recruited nurses.Methods A cluster sampling method was used to select 71 newly recruited nurses,and the nurses were divided into control group(joined in May 2020,n=35)and experimental group(joined in July 2021,n=36)according to different entry time.The control group was given traditional humanistic care training,and the experimental group carried out Balint group activity.The training effects of the two groups were compared.Results After training,the scores of humanistic care perception,humanistic care concept,humanistic care ability and total score in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.01).After training,the scores of perspective selection,emotional care,transposition thinking and total score in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.01).Conclusion The Balint group activity can improve the humanistic care quality and empathy ability of newly recruited nurses.
