Comparison of clinical characteristics of antinuclear antibody and rheumatoid factor double positive and double negative patients with rheumatoid arthritis
Objective To explore the clinical characteristics between antinuclear antibody(ANA)and rheumatoid factor(RF)double positive and double negative patients with rheumatoid arthritis(RA).Methods A total of 309 RA patients who were diagnosed and treated in our hospital from January 2018 to December 2021 were selected as study group, and 50 healthy volunteers who received regular physical examination in the physical examination center of our hospital were selected as control group.General data, clinical data and laboratory indexes of both groups were analyzed. Results The RF positive,ANA positive,ANA and RF double positive rates of the study group were higher than those of the control group, and the ANA and RF double negative rate was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).The number of joint swelling,Visual Analogue Scale(VAS),Disease Activity Score in 28 Joints(DAS28)scores and the incidence of bone erosion, anemia and Sjogren's syndrome in ANA and RF double positive patients were significantly higher than those in ANA and RF double negative patients(P<0.05).The positive rate of anti-cyclic citrullinated polypeptide antibodies(ACPA)and the levels of C reactive protein(CRP),erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR)and immunoglobulin G(IgG)in ANA and RF double positive patients were significantly higher than those in ANA and RF double negative patients(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with patients with ANA and RF double negative,RA patients with ANA and RF double positive has more obvious pain, higher disease activity, higher incidences of anemia and Sjogren's syndrome, and stronger immune inflammatory response.
