Effects of continuous nursing based on Omaha system combined with pretreatment strategy on home self-care ability and adverse events of patients with PICC
Objective To explore the application effect of continuous nursing based on Omaha system combined with pretreatment strategy in patients with peripherally inserted central catheter(PICC).Methods From January 2018 to December 2021,184 patients with PICC admitted in our hospital were selected as the research objects. The patients were randomly divided into control group and observation group according to the digital method, with 92 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, while the observation group was given continuous nursing based on Omaha system combined with pretreatment strategy on the basis of routine nursing. The intervention effects of the two groups were compared. Results After intervention, the awareness rates of types and prevention of complications, purpose and importance catheterization and daily self-care in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After intervention, the scores of information acquisition, management confidence, catheter daily observation, abnormal treatment, tube movement, tube life and maintenance compliance in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse events in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Continuous nursing based on Omaha system combined with pretreatment strategy is helpful to improve the PICC related knowledge awareness rate and home self-care ability of patients with PICC,and reduce the incidence of adverse events, which is worthy of promotion.
