Status of self-perceived burden in children with bronchial asthma and its relationship with asthma control level
Objective To explore the status of self-perceived burden in children with bronchial asthma and its relationship with asthma control level. Methods A total of 100 children with bronchial asthma admitted from June 2021 to March 2022 were selected as the study objects. Before treatment, the Self-Perceived Burden Scale(SPBS)was used to evaluate the self-perceived burden of children with bronchial asthma, and the self-perceived burden of children with different characteristics of bronchial asthma was compared;after 3 months of treatment, the Childhood Asthma Control Test(C-ACT)was used to evaluate the level of asthma control level in children, and the correlation between self-perceived burden and asthma control level in children with bronchial asthma was analyzed. Results Before treatment, the SPBS score of 100 children with bronchial asthma was(32.58±3.62)points,and the overall self-perceived burden was at a medium level. There were statistically significant differences in self-perceived burden among children with bronchial asthma of different genders, ages, times of hospitalization, annual family income, history of respiratory tract infection and mastery of medication technology(P<0.05).After 3 months of treatment, the C-ACT score of 100 children with bronchial asthma was(14.31±2.39)points,and the overall asthma control level was poor.SPBS score was negatively correlated with C-ACT score in children with bronchial asthma(r=-0.810,P<0.001).Conclusion The self-perceived burden of children with bronchial asthma is closely related to the asthma control level.
