Effect of calcium hydroxide pulp cavity sealing in the treatment of dental pulp infection in young permanent teeth
Objective To analyze the promotion value of calcium hydroxide pulp cavity sealing treatment on dental restoration for dental pulp infection in young permanent teeth. Methods A total of 60 patients with dental pulp infection in young permanent teeth admitted from February 2018 to March 2021 were selected as the research objects.According to the parity of the number, the patients were divided into control group and observation group, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with triple antibiotics pulp cavity sealing, and the observation group was treated with calcium hydroxide on the basis of the control group. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was slightly higher than that in the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).After treatment, the root canal wall thickness and root length of the two groups increased, the apical foramen diameter and plaque index(PLI)score decreased, and those in the observation group were better than the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the periodontal bite force and tooth chewing function of the two groups increased, the gingival index(GI)and bleeding index(BI)scores decreased, and those in the observation group were better than the control group(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was slightly lower than that in the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion Calcium hydroxide pulp cavity sealing in the treatment of dental pulp infection in young permanent teeth is better than that of triple antibiotic pulp cavity sealing, but both of them are helpful to improve the quality of permanent teeth restoration, and improve the recovery effect of oral function, which is worth promoting.
