Effects of hierarchical nursing based on need theory combined with family empowerment program on oxygen therapy compliance and health belief of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease undergoing home oxygen therapy
Objective To explore the application effect of hierarchical nursing based on need theory combined with family empowerment program in home oxygen therapy for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).Methods A total of 150 COPD patients with home oxygen therapy admitted in our hospital from April 2018 to June 2021 were selected as the research objects.According to the random number table method, the patients were divided into control group and observation group, with 75 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing, while the observation group received hierarchical nursing based on need theory combined with family empowerment program on the basis of the control group. The intervention effects of the two groups were compared. Results The compliance of oxygen therapy in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).After intervention, the Champion Health Belief Model Scale(CHBMS)score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).After intervention, the Family Caregiver Task Inventory(FCTI)score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).After intervention, the airway resistance(Raw)and mean airway pressure(MPaw)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The hierarchical nursing based on need theory combined with family empowerment program for COPD patients with home oxygen therapy can not only improve the patients'oxygen therapy compliance and health beliefs, but also improve the care ability of family caregivers and promote the recovery of respiratory mechanics parameters.
