Preventive effect of cluster prevention strategy combined with modified concentration ratio oral care solution on ventilator associated pneumonia in patients with severe stroke undergoing mechanical ventilation
Objective To investigate the preventive effect of cluster prevention strategy combined with modified concentration ratio oral care solution on ventilator associated pneumonia(VAP)in patients with severe stroke undergoing mechanical ventilation. Methods A total of 100 patients with severe stroke undergoing mechanical ventilation admitted from January 2020 to January 2022 were selected as the research objects.According to the random number table method, the patients were divided into control group and observation group, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing intervention, and the observation group was given cluster prevention strategy combined with modified concentration ratio oral care solution on the basis of intervention in the control group. The intervention effects of the two groups were compared. Results After intervention, the oral cleanliness of the observation group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of VAP and the failure rate of weaning in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the mechanical ventilation time and ICU hospitalization time were shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05).After intervention, the arterial partial pressure of oxygen(PaO2)and oxygen saturation(SaO2)in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the arterial partial pressure of carbon dioxide(PaCO2)was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The cluster prevention strategy combined with modified concentration ratio oral care solution can help to reduce the incidence of VAP in patients with severe stroke undergoing mechanical ventilation, shorten the mechanical ventilation time and ICU hospitalization time, and improve the blood gas indexes, which is worthy of promotion.
