Overview of etiology and primary treatment of hyperamylasemia
Elevated serum amylase is more common in clinical practice,which is mostly used for the diagnosis and evaluation of acute pancreatitis(AP).However,with the deepening of amylase related research,it has been found that the causes of hyperamylasemia are diverse and complex,involving various clinical departments.In the face of patients with elevated amylase,primary medical institutions will consider timely referral due to concerns about the aggravation of pancreatitis or misdiagnosis.General practitioners should understand the various causes of elevated serum amylase,so as to make early judgment,active intervention,distinguish the severity,and on-demand referral,so as to avoid medical runs and waste of resources.This article will briefly review the etiology and primary treatment of hyperamylasemia.
