Benefit expectation status and influencing factors of total knee arthroplasty in patients with severe knee osteoarthritis
Objective To investigate the benefit expectation status of total knee arthroplasty in patients with severe knee osteoarthritis, and to analyze its influencing factors. Methods Convenient sampling method was used to select 120 patients with severe knee osteoarthritis who underwent total knee arthroplasty from January 2021 to January 2023 as the study objects. The self-made surgical benefit expectation scale was used to evaluate the benefit expectation status of patients before surgery, and the patients were divided into correct expectation group and wrong expectation group according to the surgical benefit expectation. The general data of the two groups were compared, and Logistic regression test was used to analyze the influencing factors of the benefit expectation of total knee arthroplasty in patients with severe knee osteoarthritis. Results Among the 120 patients,58 cases had wrong surgical benefit expectation, accounting for 48.33%.There were significant differences in gender, education level, annual household income,doctor-patient relationship and self-perceived burden between the two groups(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis results showed that male, education level of high school or below, annual household income<30 000 yuan, normal doctor-patient relationship, good doctor-patient relationship and mild self-perceived burden were the influencing factors for the benefit expectation of total knee arthroplasty in patients with severe knee osteoarthritis(P<0.05).Conclusion About half of the patients with severe knee osteoarthritis who underwent total knee arthroplasty have wrong benefit expectation, and gender, education level, annual household income,doctor-patient relationship and self-perceived burden are the related factors affecting their benefit expectation.
