Effects of new gingival forceps on the edge uniformity,aesthetic degree and postoperative recovery of gingival trimmingin patients undergoing dental implant surgery
Objective To study the effects of new gingival forceps on the edge uniformity,aesthetic degree and postoperative recovery of gingival trimmingin patients undergoing dental implant surgery.Methods A total of 140 patients who underwent dental implant surgery from December 2020 to December 2022 were randomly selected as the study objects and divided into control group(n=70)and observation group(n=70)using random number table method.The control group used scalpel to repair the gums,and the observation group used new gingival forceps to repair the gums.The repaired edge uniformity,aesthetic degree,postoperative recovery,operation time and satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Results The edge uniformity,aesthetic degree,excellent and good rate of postoperative recovery and satisfaction of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);the operation time of the observation group was shorter than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The new gingival forceps has a positive effect on the edge uniformity,aesthetic degree and postoperative recovery of gingival trimming in patients undergoing dental implant surgery,with high patient satisfaction,which is worth promoting and applying in clinical practice.
