Effect of povidone iodine combined with voriconazole tablets in the treatment of suppurative otitis media complicated with fungal infection and its influences on the expressions of miR-203a and miR-155
Objective To investigate the effect of povidone iodine combined with voriconazole tablets in the treatment of suppurative otitis media complicated with fungal infection and its influences on the expressions of miR-203a and miR-155.Methods A total of 90 patients with suppurative otitis media complicated with fungal infection admitted from March 2020 to March 2022 were selected as the research objects, and the patients were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 45 cases in each group. The control group was treated with voriconazole tablets, and the observation group was treated with povidone iodine on the basis of the control group. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of treatment and fungal clearance rate of the observation group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the expressions of miR-203a and miR-155 in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-2(IL-2)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the air conduction(AC),bone conduction(BC)thresholds and air bone gap(ABG)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of povidone iodine and voriconazole tablets has good clinical efficacy and fungal clearance in patients with suppurative otitis media complicated with fungal infection. It can also regulate the expressions of miR-203a and miR-155,inhibit the levels of inflammatory factors, and promote hearing recovery.
