Efficacy and safety of fluticasone propionate nasal spray combined with ketotifen fumarate tablets in the treatment of patients with allergic rhinitis
Objective To analyze the efficacy and safety of fluticasone propionate nasal spray combined with ketotifen fumarate tablets in the treatment of patients with allergic rhinitis(AR).Methods A total of 82 AR patients admitted from January 2021 to December 2022 were selected as the research objects, and the patients were divided into routine group(41 cases, ketotifen fumarate tablets treatment)and combined group(41 cases, fluticasone propionate nasal spray + ketotifen fumarate tablets treatment)by random number table method. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the combined group was higher than that in the routine group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of high sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP),total immunoglobulin E(TIgE),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)and eosinophil cationic protein(ECP)in the combined group were lower than those in the routine group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the eosinophil percentage(EOS%)and the level of intercellular cell adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1)in the combined group were lower than those in the routine group, and the levels of interferon-γ(IFN-γ),soluble PD-L1(sPD-L1)and transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1)were higher than those in the routine group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups during treatment(P>0.05).Conclusion Fluticasone propionate nasal spray combined with ketotifen fumarate tablets is safe and effective in the treatment of AR patients.
