Effects of continuous nursing based on family empowerment combined with fun games on rehabilitation and social adaptability of children with mental retardation
Objective To analyze the effects of continuous nursing based on family empowerment combined with fun games on rehabilitation and social adaptability of children with mental retardation. Methods Forty children with mental retardation admitted in our hospital were included in this study. The children were randomly divided into routine group(20 cases, routine continuous nursing + fun games)and observation group(20 cases, continuous nursing based on family empowerment was implemented on the basis of routine group). The intervention effects of the two groups were compared. Results After intervention, the Gross Motor Function Assessment Scale-88(GMFM-88)score and the amplitude of event related potential(ERP)-P3 in the observation group were higher than those in the routine group, while the latency of ERP-P3 was shorter than that in the routine group(P<0.05).After intervention, the score of Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-Revised(WISC-R)in the observation group was higher than that in the routine group, and the score of Integrated Visual and Auditory Continuous Performance Test(IVA-CPT)was lower than that in the routine group(P<0.05).After intervention, the scores of self-care ability and daily communication ability in the observation group were higher than those in the routine group(P<0.05).Conclusion The continuous nursing based on family empowerment combined with fun games can achieve ideal application value in the comprehensive treatment and rehabilitation training of children with mental retardation.
