Effects of family participatory dignity therapy on emotional state and stigma in patients with cervical cancer during middle and late period
Objective To explore the effects of family participatory dignity therapy on emotional state and stigma in patients with cervical cancer during middle and late period.Methods A total of 160 patients with cervical cancer during middle and late period admitted in our hospital from October 2022 to October 2023 were selected and divided into control group(80 cases,routine nursing intervention)and study group(80 cases,family participatory dignity therapy)according to random number table method.The intervention effects of the two groups were compared.Results After intervention,the scores of anxiety and depression in both groups were lower than those before intervention,and those in the study group were lower than the control group(P<0.05).After intervention,the scores of alienation factor,discrimination experience factor,stereotypical identity factor,social withdrawal factor and stigma resistance factor in both groups were lower than those before intervention,and those in the study group were lower than the control group(P<0.05).After intervention,the appearance self-esteem,social self-esteem and behavioral self-esteem scores and total score in both groups were higher than those before intervention,and those in the study group were higher than the control group(P<0.05).The satisfaction of the study group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Family participatory dignity therapy can relieve anxiety and depression,reduce stigma,enhance self-esteem,and enhance satisfaction in patients with cervical cancer during middle and late period.
