Effect of Gegen Xuming decoction in the treatment of Parkinson's disease
Objective To explore the clinical effect of Gegen Xuming decoction in the treatment of Parkinson's disease(PD).Methods A total of 90 PD patients who were diagnosed and treated in our hospital from March 2019 to June 2022 were collected as the research objects.According to the random number table method,the patients were divided into control group and observation group,with 45 cases in each group.The control group was treated with levodopa and benserazide tablets,and the observation group was treated with Gegen Xuming decoction on the basis of the control group.The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared.Results After treatment,the score of Unified PD Rating Scale Ⅲ(UPDRSⅢ)in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,and the scores of Berg Balance Scale(BBS)and Mini-Mental State Examination(MMSE)were higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05).The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the levels of dopamine(DA),5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT),norepinephrine(NE)and glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px)in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the level of malondialdehyde was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Gegen Xuming decoction can effectively regulate the secretion of monoamine neurotransmitters in PD patients,correct the body's oxidation/antioxidant imbalance,improve the motor symptoms and posture balance ability,and improve the motor control ability,with good safety.
