Ulcerative colitis(UC)is a subtype of inflammatory bowel disease,which is a chronic lifelong disease.Its clinical features mainly include recurrence and remission process,idiopathic intestinal inflammation,bloody diarrhea and weight loss.The disease can be attributed to the traditional Chinese medicine diarrhea,dysentery,intestinal wind,dirty poison,abdominal pain and other categories.This article reviews the etiology and pathogenesis of UC in traditional Chinese medicine and its correlation with wind evil,combined with the treatment and experimental research of"wind medicine"in the treatment of this disease,focusing on the inflammatory response,anti-oxidation and protection of intestinal mucosal barrier.The related research on the treatment of UC with"wind medicine"in recent years has been systematically summarized and summarized to explore new possible mechanisms and provide treatment strategies and ideas for the disease.
