Meta-analysis of the effect of Tuina on postoperative outcomes in patients undergoing hip arthroplasty
Objective To systematically evaluate the effect of Tuina on postoperative outcomes in patients undergoing hip arthroplasty(HA).Methods CNKI,VIP,Wanfang,Chinese Biology Medicine(CBM),Embase,PubMed,the Cochrane Library and Web of Science databases(retrieval time was from the establishment of the database to July 2023)were searched to obtain randomized controlled trials(RCT)of the effect of Tuina on postoperative outcomes in patients undergoing HA.Meta-analysis was performed using RevMan5.3 software. Results A total of 12 articles were included, involving 1 196 patients. The results showed that the incidence of deep venous thrombosis(DVT)in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group[odd ratio(OR)=0.21,95%CI(0.12,0.39),P<0.00001];the Harris function score of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group[mean difference(MD)=9.08,95%CI(6.45,11.72),P<0.00001];the Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)score of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group[MD=-0.98,95%CI(-1.40,-0.55),P<0.00001];the nursing satisfaction of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group[OR=4.31,95%CI(1.52,12.24),P=0.006].Conclusion Tuina can effectively reduce the incidence of DVT in patients after HA,improve hip function, reduce postoperative pain, and improve nursing satisfaction.
