Targeted surveillance analysis of multidrug-resistant organisms in intensive care unit of a level-A tertiary hospital from 2020 to 2022
Objective To analyze the distribution characteristics and changing trend of multidrug-resistant organisms(MDRO)detected in different types of intensive care unit(ICU)of a level-A tertiary hospital in Guangxi for three consecutive years,so as to provide scientific basis for the prevention and control of MDRO in the hospital. Methods The MDRO detection data of all hospitalized patients in different types of ICU of the hospital from January 2020 to December 2022 were collected, and the distribution characteristics and changing trend of MDRO were statistically analyzed. Results A total of 1 935 strains of pathogenic bacteria were isolated from all types of ICU patients in the hospital, including 631 strains of MDRO,and the total detection rate of MDRO was 32.61%.The detected number of MDRO in all types of ICU accounted for 44.94%(631/1 404)of the MDRO in the whole hospital;the top three MDRO detection rates were carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii(CRAB),methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA),carbapenem-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa(CRPA).The types of specimens detected by MDRO was mainly respiratory specimens, followed by blood and body fluid specimens. Conclusion In the past three years, the detection rate of MDRO in ICU of the hospital has shown a trend of first rising and then declining.CRAB,MRSA and CRPA are the focus of targeted surveillance and prevention and control management of MDRO in the next step.At the same time, supervision and feedback of key departments should be strengthened to ensure the effective implementation of MDRO infection prevention and control measures.
