Application effect of different tympanic membrane repair materials in endoscopic tympanoplasty for patients with chronic suppurative otitis media
Objective To analyze the application effect of different tympanic membrane repair materials in endoscopic tympanoplasty for patients with chronic suppurative otitis media.Methods A total of 76 patients with chronic suppurative otitis media who underwent endoscopic tympanoplasty in the otolaryngology department,Xi'an North Hospital from January 2021 to December 2022 were selected as the research objects.According to different tympanic membrane repair materials during operation,the patients were divided into group Ⅰ(n=25,acellular allogeneic dermis),group Ⅱ(n=32,tragus perichondrium)and group Ⅲ(n=19,temporalis fascia).The therapeutic effects of the three groups were compared.Results There was no significant difference in the total effective rate of surgical treatment among the three groups(P>0.05).The operation time,hospitalization time and postoperative healing time of the group Ⅰ were shorter than those of the groupⅡ and the groupⅢ,the intraoperative blood loss was less than that of the group Ⅱ and the groupⅢ,and the Visual Analogue Score(VAS)score at 24 h after operation was lower than that of the group Ⅱand the groupⅢ,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse events among the three groups(P>0.05).After operation,there were no significant differences in average air conduction hearing valve and average air-bone gap between the group Ⅱ and the group Ⅲ(P>0.05);after operation,the average air conduction hearing valve and average air-bone gap in the groupⅠwere lower than those in the groupⅡand the groupⅢ(P<0.05).Conclusion The acellular allogenic dermis,tragus perichondrium and temporal fascia applied in endoscopic tympanoplasty in patients with chronic suppurative otitis media can achieve ideal curative effect,but the acellular allogenic dermis has better effect,which can shorten the postoperative rehabilitation process,reduce the degree of pain,and with better hearing recovery effect.
