Effect of modified Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu decoction combined with traditional Chinese medicine foot bath on diabetic peripheral neuropathy and its influence on current perception threshold
Objective To study the effect of modified Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu decoction combined with traditional Chinese medicine foot bath in the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy and its influence on current perception threshold(CPT).Methods A total of 100 patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy admitted in our hospital from January 2020 to January 2021 were selected and randomly divided into control group and observation group by coin tossing method,with 50 cases in each group.The control group was treated with conventional mecobalamin,and the observation group was treated with modified Huangqi Guizhi W uwu decoction combined with traditional Chinese medicine foot bath.The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared.Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).The duration of foot ulcer granulation tissue and foot ulcer healing time in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group,and the Visual Analogue Score(VAS)score was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the neurological symptoms,nerve reflex,sensory function scores and Toronto Clinical Scoring System(TCSS)total scores of the two groups decreased,and those in the observation group were lower than the control group(P<0.05).The CPT of median nerve,ulnar nerve,superficial peroneal nerve and sural nerve in the observation group were lower than those in the control group at 5,250 and 2 000 Hz(P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6)and C reactive protein(CRP)in the two groups decreased,and those in the observation group were lower than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The modified Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu decoction combined with traditional Chinese medicine foot bath has a significant clinical effect on patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy.
