Clinical effect of EEG biofeedback in the treatment of children with autism spectrum disorder comorbid attention deficit hyperactivity disorder
Objective To explore the clinical effect of EEG biofeedback in the treatment of children with autism spectrum disorder(ASD)comorbid attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Methods A total of 79 children with ASD comorbid attention deficit hyperactivity disorder admitted in Xi'an Traditional Chinese Medicine Encephalopathy Hospital were selected and divided into control group(n=39)and observation group(n=40)by random number table method. The control group was given routine rehabilitation treatment, and the observation group was given EEG biofeedback treatment on the basis of the control group. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores of conduct problems, learning problems, psychosomatic disorders,impulse-hyperactivity,anxiety and total score of Conners Index of Hyperactivity(CIH)in the two groups decreased(P<0.05);after treatment, the scores of learning problems, psychosomatic disorders,impulse-hyperactivity and total score of CIH in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the score of Chinese-Wechsler Intelligence Scale of Children(C-WISC)in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the θ/β value of EEG biofeedback was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion EEG biofeedback in the treatment of children with ASD comorbid attention deficit hyperactivity disorder can reduce hyperactivity index and improve attention and intelligence level.
