Effect of posterior nasal neurotomy under nasal endoscope in the treatment of allergic rhinitis
Objective To investigate the effect of posterior nasal neurotomy under nasal endoscope in the treatment of allergic rhinitis(AR).Methods A total of 80 AR patients admitted in our hospital from January 2020 to December 2021 were selected as the research objects.According to the parity of admission number, the patients were divided into control group and observation group, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine treatment, and the observation group was treated with posterior nasal neurotomy under nasal endoscope combined with routine treatment. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of interleukin-5(IL-5),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)and C-reactive protein(CRP)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the level of interleukin-10(IL-10)was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores of sneezing, rhinorrhea, nasal congestion,Related Quality of Life Questionnaire(RQLQ)and Visual Analogue Score(VAS)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the nasal resistance(NR),mucociliary transport time(MTT),nasal mucociliary clearance rate(NMCR)and eosinophil cationic protein(ECP)level in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Posterior nasal neurotomy under nasal endoscope can effectively reduce the clinical symptoms and inflammatory response of AR patients, improve the quality of life and restore the physiological function of nasal cavity.
