Effects of health education under empowerment theory on self-efficacy and quality of life in patients with rheumatoid arthritis complicated with interstitial pneumonia
Objective To analyze the effect of health education under empowerment theory in the nursing of patients with rheumatoid arthritis complicated with interstitial pneumonia(RA-IP).Methods A total of 120 patients with RA-IP treated in our hospital were selected as the study objects and randomly divided into control group and intervention group,with 60 cases in each group.The control group was given routine nursing intervention,and the intervention group was given health education under empowerment theory.The intervention effects of the two groups were compared.Results Three months after discharge,the incidences of joint tenderness,joint swelling,cough and expectoration and dyspnea in the intervention group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).At discharge,the scores of Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)and Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS)in the intervention group were lower than those in the control group,and the score of General Self-Efficacy Scale(GSES)was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).After intervention,the scores of each dimension of Exercise of Self-Care Agency Scale(ESCA)and Short Form 36 Health Survey Questionnaire(SF-36)in the intervention group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The health education under empowerment theory applied in the nursing of RA-IP patients can effectively relieve joint pain,improve respiratory symptoms,regulate psychological state,improve self-efficacy and self-care ability,and promote the quality of life.
