Application effect of self-management intervention based on adaptive leadership theory combined with individualized diet nursing on elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus
Objective To explore the application effect of self-management intervention based on adaptive leadership theory combined with individualized diet nursing in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).Methods A total of 106 elderly patients with T2DM admitted from February 2021 to February 2022 were selected as the research objects.According to the nursing plan, the patients were divided into control group and observation group, with 53 cases in each group. The control group received individualized diet nursing, and the observation group combined with self-management intervention based on adaptive leadership theory on the basis of the control group. The intervention effects of the two groups were compared. Results After intervention, the scores of regular diet, moderate energy intake and reasonable diet in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After intervention, the coefficient of variation of blood glucose(CV)and coefficient of variation of fasting blood glucose(CV-FBG)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After intervention, the scores of each dimension of Summary of Diabetes Self-Care Activities(SDSCA)in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Self-management intervention based on adaptive leadership theory combined with individualized diet nursing for elderly patients with T2DM can improve patients'self-management ability and diet behavior, and enhance the effect of blood glucose control, which is worthy of promotion.
