Effects of family-centered empowerment nursing combined with alginate excipients on fear of disease progression and PICC indwelling in patients with tumors undergoing PICC chemotherapy
Objective To explore the effects of family-centered empowerment nursing combined with alginate excipients on fear of disease progression and PICC indwelling in patients with tumors undergoing peripherally inserted central catheter(PICC)chemotherapy. Methods From January 2021 to March 2022,120 tumors patients undergoing PICC chemotherapy were selected as the research objects.According to the random number table method, the patients were divided into control group and observation group, with 60 cases in each group. The control group adopted routine nursing intervention, and the observation group adopted family-centered empowerment nursing combined with alginate excipients on the basis of the control group. The intervention effects of the two groups were compared. Results After intervention, the scores of each dimension of the Fear of Progression Questionnaire(FoP-Q)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention, the scores of each dimension of the Family Caregiver Task Inventory(FCTI)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Family-centered empowerment nursing combined with alginate excipients can not only reduce the fear of disease progression in patients with tumors undergoing PICC chemotherapy, but also improve the care ability of the main family caregivers of the patients and the PICC indwelling, which is worthy of promotion.
