A case of Miller-Fisher syndrome with positive multiple ganglioside antibody with bulbar paralysis as the main manifestation and literature review
Objective To investigate the diagnostic characteristics of Miller-Fisher syndrome(MFS).Methods The clinical data of one patient with positive multiple ganglioside antibody MFS with bulbar paralysis as the main manifestation in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed.The common types and clinical manifestations of Guillain-Barre syndrome(GBS)were analyzed and discussed.Results GQ1b antibody was a key factor in the pathogenesis of MFS patients,which can cause symptoms of optic nerve damage and bulbar paralysis.Conclusion The clinical manifestations of MFS patients are often atypical.The precipitation site of GQ1b antibody is related to the clinical manifestations.Atypical MFS patients may begin with bulbar paralysis symptom.
