Analysis of death of children under 5 years old in Fangshan district from 2013 to 2022
Objective To analyze the change trend of mortality rate of children under 5 years old and the change of death causes of children with different ages in Fangshan district,and to formulate comprehensive and effective management measures to reduce neonatal and infant mortality rate according to the main causes of death of children under 5 years old.Methods The death monitoring network of children under 5 years old in Beijing maternal and child information system was used to collect the death case report cards of children under 5 years old from 2013 to 2022.The mortality rate of children and the proportion of death in different age groups were counted,and the fundamental causes of death and sequence of newborns and infants were analyzed.Results From 2019 to 2022,the mortality rates of early newborns,newborns and infants generally showed a downward trend,and the mortality rate of early newborns decreased the most.From 2019 to 2021,the proportion of early newborns deaths generally showed a downward trend.The first leading cause of death over a longer period of 10 years was newborns with premature birth or low birth weight,birth asphyxia,and infants with premature birth or low birth weight;the second was newborns with premature birth or low birth weight,birth asphyxia,and infants with birth asphyxia,congenital heart disease;the third was other congenitally abnormal newborns and infants.Conclusion Strengthening the management of perinatal health care for pregnant women and early intervention of high-risk pregnant women during pregnancy,urging regular follow-up,improving the evaluation level of high-risk pregnant women before delivery,improving the diagnosis and treatment technology of obstetricians during pregnancy and delivery,the quality of safety transfer evaluation of critical neonates by neonatal pediatricians and the success level of neonatal resuscitation technology are the key measures to reduce neonatal and infant deaths.
