Effect of single balloon bilateral sequential expansion percutaneous kyphoplasty in the treatment of osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures and its influences on inflammatory response and vertebral reduction
Objective To investigate the effect of single balloon bilateral sequential expansion percutaneous kyphoplasty in the treatment of osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures and its influences on inflammatory response and vertebral reduction.Methods A total of 80 patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures admitted from January 2021 to January 2022 were selected as the research objects.According to the difference of operation methods,the patients were divided into control group and observation group,with 40 cases in each group.The control group was treated with single balloon unilateral dilatation percutaneous kyphoplasty,and the observation group was treated with single balloon bilateral sequential expansion percutaneous kyphoplasty.The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared.Results The operation time of the observation group was longer than that of the control group,and the bone cement injection volume and bone cement dispersion coefficient were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).After operation,the levels of C-reactive protein(CRP),interleukin-6(IL-6)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After operation,the anterior vertebral height of the observation group was bigger than that of the control group,and the Cobb angle was smaller than that of the control group(P<0.05).After operation,the levels of Leptin and procollagen typeⅠN-terminal propeptide(PⅠNP)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Single balloon bilateral sequential expansion percutaneous kyphoplasty in the treatment of osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures will increase the operation time,but it can increase the bone cement injection volume and bone cement dispersion coefficient,reduce the inflammatory response,improve the effect of vertebral reduction,and down-regulate the levels of Leptin and PⅠNP,which is worthy of promotion.
