Comparison of the effects of onlay restoration of root canal and full crown restoration of root canal in the treatment of posterior teeth defects
Objective To compare the effects of onlay restoration of root canal and full crown restoration of root canal in the treatment of posterior teeth defects. Methods A total of 80 patients with posterior teeth defects admitted in our hospital were selected and divided into observation group and control group according to the random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with onlay restoration of root canal, and the control group was treated with full crown restoration of root canal. The repair effects of the two groups were compared. Results There were no significant differences in the excellent and good rate of treatment and satisfaction between the two groups(P>0.05).The proportion of grade A of restoration integrity, edge tightness, gingival health status, secondary caries and food impaction in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After repair, the gingival index(GI)of the two groups decreased significantly, and that of the observation group was lower than the control group(P<0.05).After repair, the levels of interleukin-6(IL-6),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-8(IL-8)and C-reactive protein(CRP)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of posterior teeth defects, both onlay and full crown restoration root canal treatment methods have good application advantages, but the former has a better prognosis, especially in terms of integrity, edge tightness, gingival health status, secondary caries and food impaction, which has high promotion value.
