Expression of CDK12 and STAT3 in breast cancer tissues and their relationship with pathological parameters
Objective To investigate the expression of cyclin-dependent kinase 12(CDK12)and signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(STAT3)in breast cancer tissues and their relationship with pathological parameters. Methods A total of 123 female breast cancer patients(all completed 3-year follow-up)admitted in our hospital from January 2016 to December 2019 were selected as the research objects. The expression of CDK12 and STAT3 in breast cancer tissues and adjacent tissues was detected by immunohistochemistry. The expression of CDK12 and STAT3 in breast cancer tissues with different pathological parameters were compared, and the relationship between the expression of CDK12 and STAT3 and pathological parameters and prognosis of patients were analyzed. Results The positive expression rates of CDK12 and STAT3 in breast cancer tissues were higher than those in adjacent tissues(P<0.05).The positive expression rates of CDK12 and STAT3 in breast cancer tissues:Ⅰ-Ⅱ stage were lower those Ⅲ-Ⅳ stage, and no lymph node metastasis were lower those lymph node metastasis;the positive expression rates of CDK12 and STAT3 in brease cancer tissues with different degrees of differentiation were significantly different(P<0.05).The positive expression rates of CDK12 and STAT3 in breast cancer tissues were positively correlated with clinical stage and lymph node metastasis, and negatively correlated with the degree of differentiation(P<0.05).The 3-year survival rates of CDK12 and STAT3 positive breast cancer patients were lower than those of their negative patients(P<0.05).Conclusion The high expression of CDK12 and STAT3 in breast cancer tissues is closely related to the clinical stage, lymph node metastasis and prognosis of breast cancer, which can be used as an effective indexes for clinical judgment and prognosis evaluation.
