Retrospective analysis of 1 case of epidemic hemorrhagic fever complicated with acute renal failure treated with CRRT using self-made bicarbonate replacement fluid
Objective To summarize the experience of continuous renal replacement therapy(CRRT)with self-made bicarbonate replacement fluid in a patient with epidemic hemorrhagic fever(EHF)complicated with acute renal failure(ARF),so as to provide references for the treatment of similar case. Methods A patient with EHF complicated with ARF admitted in general internal medicine department of Donggang Branch of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University in April 2021 was treated with comprehensive internal medicine treatment. At the same time,CRRT was performed with self-made bicarbonate replacement fluid.According to the dynamic monitoring of blood gas analysis, electrolyte, renal function and coagulation indexes, the self-configured fluid replacement formula and anticoagulant dose were adjusted. Results The patient was discharged from the hospital after 14 d of hospitalization, after 30 d of follow-up,all indexes returned to normal. Conclusion Timely using self-made bicarbonate replacement fluid for CRRT in conjunction with comprehensive internal medicine treatment is an effective method for treating EHF complicated with ARF.
