Effects of nursing intervention based on communication standard theory combined with peer education on fear of disease progression and self-management ability of daily life in uremic maintenance hemodialysis patients
Objective To explore the application effect of nursing intervention based on communication standard theory combined with peer education in uremic maintenance hemodialysis patients. Methods A total of 100 patients with uremia maintenance hemodialysis admitted from May 2019 to May 2022 were selected as the research objects and randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, and the observation group was given nursing intervention based on communication standard theory combined with peer education. The intervention effects of the two groups were compared. Results After intervention, the scores of each dimension of the Fear of Progression Questionnaire-Short Form(FoP-Q-SF)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the scores of each dimension of self-management scale of hemodialysis patients were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After intervention, the scores of cognition and dialysis compliance in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Nursing intervention based on communication standard theory combined with peer education can reduce the fear of disease progression in uremic maintenance hemodialysis patients, enhance their self-management ability of daily life, improve their cognition and dialysis compliance, and reduce the incidence of complications.
