Objective To analyze the expression of serum high mobility group box-1 protein(HMGB1),receptor of advanced glycation endproducts(RAGE)and bone morphogenetic protein-7(BMP-7)in children with neonatal respiratory distress syndrome(NRDS)and their correlation with lung ultrasound score.Methods A total of 100 children with NRDS admitted from June 2018 to June 2023 were selected as observation group,and 100 healthy newborns were selected as control group at the same time.Serum HMGB1,RAGE,BMP-7 detection and lung ultrasound examination and score were performed.According to the lung ultrasound score of NRDS children,the children were divided into low score group(score<12 points),middle score group(score 12-24 points),and high score group(score>24 points).The levels of serum HMGB1,RAGE,BMP-7 and lung ultrasound score were compared between the two groups;the levels of serum HMGB1,RAGE and BMP-7 in children with different lung ultrasound scores were compared;the correlation between serum HMGB1,RAGE,BMP-7 expression and lung ultrasound score in the observation group was analyzed.Results The levels of serum HMGB1,RAGE and BMP-7 and lung ultrasound score in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Lung ultrasound showed 47 cases in the low score group,33 cases in the middle score group,and 20 cases in the high score group;the levels of serum HMGB1,RAGE and BMP-7 in the low score group were lower than those in the middle score group and the high score group(P<0.05);the levels of serum HMGB1,RAGE and BMP-7 in the middle score group were lower than those in the high score group(P<0.05).Spearman correlation analysis showed that the expression of serum HMGB1,RAGE and BMP-7 was positively correlated with lung ultrasound score(P<0.05).Conclusion The expression of serum HMGB1,RAGE,BMP-7 and lung ultrasound score in children with NRDS significantly increase,the expression of serum HMGB1,RAGE and BMP-7 are positively correlated with lung ultrasound score.
