Correlation analysis of serum BDNF,VitB12 and Tau protein levels with brain nerve development in premature infants with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy
Objective To investigate the correlation between serum brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF),vitamin B12(VitB12),Tau protein levels with brain nerve development in premature infants with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy. Methods A total of 80 premature infants with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy admitted from January 2020 to June 2023 were selected as the sickchildren group, and 80 healthy newborns in the same period were selected as the healthy group. The levels of serum BDNF,VitB12 and Tau protein in neonates were detected, and the Neonatal Behavioral Neurological Assessment(NBNA)score was evaluated. The correlation between serum BDNF,VitB12,Tau protein levels and NBNA score were analyzed. Results At 3 d after birth, the levels of BDNF,VitB12 and NBNA score in the sickchildren group were lower than those in the healthy group, the level of Tau protein was higher than that in the healthy group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The results of CT examination showed that there were 33 cases in the mild group,35 cases in the moderate group and 12 cases in the severe group;at 3 d after birth, there were statistically significant differences in BDNF,VitB12,Tau protein levels and NBNA score among children with different degrees of disease(P<0.05).The levels of BDNF,VitB12 and NBNA score at 14 d after birth were higher than those at 3 d after birth, the level of Tau protein was lower than that at 3 d after birth, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that the levels of BDNF and VitB12 were positively correlated with NBNA score(r=0.473,0.435,P<0.05);Tau protein level was negatively correlated with NBNA score(r=-0.411,P<0.05).Conclusion The levels of serum BDNF and VitB12 are positively correlated with the development of brain nerve in premature infants with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, and the level of Tau protein is negatively correlated with the development of brain nerve in premature infants with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy.
