Objective To compare the effects of iodoform gauze and gelatin sponge in the treatment of nasal adhesion after endoscopic sinus surgery. Methods Seventy-three patients(87 sides)with nasal adhesion found by reexamination after endoscopic sinus surgery from January 2018 to December 2022 were selected and randomly divided into control group(36 cases,43 sides)and treatment group(37 cases,44 sides). After the decomposition of nasal adhesion in both groups, the control group selected gelatin sponge as the isolation material for treatment, and the treatment group selected iodoform gauze as the isolation material for treatment. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. Results There were no significant differences in operation time and bleeding volume between the two groups(P>0.05);the Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)score, cure rate and satisfaction of the treatment group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05);at 3 months after surgery, the Sin-Nasal Outcome Test-22(SNOT-22)score of the two groups decreased, and that in the treatment group was lower than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Both iodoform gauze and gelatin sponge packing cavity can achieve certain therapeutic effects in the isolation treatment of nasal adhesion, but the former is superior to the latter in terms of curative effect, quality of life and satisfaction of patients.
