Quantitative evaluation of the relationship between myocardial work parameters and left ventricular systolic function in non-obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy by echocardiography
Objective To investigate the relationship between myocardial work parameters and left ventricular systolic function in patients with non-obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy(HCM).Methods A total of 81 patients with non-obstructive HCM admitted in our hospital from March 2021 to April 2023 were selected as the study group, and 90 healthy subjects who underwent physical examinations during the same period were selected as the control group. All patients underwent echocardiography. The left ventricular systolic function indexes and myocardial work parameters of the two groups were compared, and the correlation between the two was analyzed. Results There were no significant differences in left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVEDD),left ventricular end-systolic diameter(LVESD)and left ventricular eiection fraction(LVEF)between the two groups(P>0.05);the inter-ventricular septum thickness(IVST),left atrium anteroposterior diameter(LAD)and global longitudinal strain(GLS)in the study group were greater than those in the control group, and the E peak/A peak was less than that in the control group, the differences were statistally significant(P<0.05).The global work index(GWI),global constructive work(GCW)and global work efficiency(GWE)of the study group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistally significant(P<0.05);there was no significant difference in global waste work(GWW)between the two groups(P>0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that there were no clear correlation between GWI,GWW,GCW,GWE and LVEDD,LVESD,LVEF(P>0.05);GWI,GCW and GWE were negatively correlated with IVST,LAD and GLS,and positively correlated with E peak/A peak(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with left ventricular systolic function parameters, myocardial work parameters are more helpful in the diagnosis of non-obstructive HCM.
