Effects of traditional Chinese medicine directional penetration therapy combined with acupoint massage on limb function and quality of life in patients with stroke recovery
Objective To explore the effects of traditional Chinese medicine directional penetration therapy combined with acupoint massage on limb function and quality of life in patients with stroke recovery.Methods According to the principle of 1:1 and random number table method,108 patients with stroke recovery admitted in our hospital from January 2020 to October 2022 were divided into control group and combined group,with 54 cases in each group.Both groups received routine western medicine treatment,the control group was given routine nursing,and the combined group was given traditional Chinese medicine directional penetration therapy+acupoint massage on the basis of routine nursing.The intervention effects of the two groups were compared.Results After 4 weeks of intervention,the National Institute of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS)score of the two groups was lower than that before intervention,and the combined group was lower than the control group(P<0.05).After 4 weeks of intervention,the scores of Berg Balance Scale(BBS),Fugl-Meyer Assessment(FMA),Modified Barthel Index(MBI)and Modified Fall Efficacy Scale(MFES)in the two groups were higher than those before intervention,and those in the combined group were higher than the control group(P<0.05).After 4 weeks of intervention,the scores of State-Trait Anxiety Inventory(STAI)and Multidimensional Fatigue Inventory-20(MFI-20)in the two groups were lower than those before intervention,and those in the combined group were lower than the control group(P<0.05).The nursing satisfaction of the combined group was 88.89%,which was higher than 74.07%of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Traditional Chinese medicine directional penetration therapy combined with acupoint massage can promote the recovery of neurological function,improve limb function,reduce psychological stress,relieve fatigue and enhance quality of life in patients with stroke recovery.
