Application experience of linear costal cartilage nasal tip stent in primary comprehensive rhinoplasty
Objective To explore the application effect of linear costal cartilage nasal tip stent in primary comprehensive rhinoplasty. Methods A total of 94 female rhinoplasty admitted in our hospital from June 2019 to June 2022 were selected as the research objects, all of which were primary rhinoplasty. The 6th costal cartilage of 4-5 cm was cut to make nasal columella support graft, nasal septum distraction graft, nasal alar edge graft and nasal tip cap graft. The nasal tip cartilage scaffold was constructed to shape the nasal tip,and the prosthesis was applied to the nasal dorsum. Results The postoperative follow-up time was 6-18 months, with an average of 11 months.Ninty objects were satisfied with the operation result. One case had nasal dorsum swelling at 3 months after operation, which was not cured by antibiotic treatment, while the patient was cured after the prosthesis was taken out, rinsed and anti-inflammatory.The prosthesis was replaced and placed in the nasal dorsum at 9 months after operation, and no adverse events occurred.Three cases had a decrease in the height of the nasal tip and a downward rotation of the nasal tip,the stent was adjusted half a year after operation, and the effect was satisfactory after repair. Conclusion Comprehensive rhinoplasty using autologous costal cartilage to construct a nasal tip stent can effectively improve the shape of the nasal tip, with a low incidence of complications, which is safe, reliable and non-rejection.
