Effect of acetylcysteine combined with cetirizine hydrochloride and montelukast sodium in the treatment of allergic rhinitis and its influences on YKL-40 and TGF-β levels
Objective To analyze the effect of acetylcysteine combined with cetirizine hydrochloride and montelukast sodium in the treatment of allergic rhinitis and its influences on chitinase protein 40(YKL-40)and transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β)levels.Methods A total of 120 patients with allergic rhinitis admitted in our hospital from April 2020 to May 2022 were selected as the research objects, and the patients were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 60 cases in each group. The control group was treated with cetirizine hydrochloride and montelukast sodium, and the observation group was treated with acetylcysteine on the basis of the control group. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. Results After treatment, the nasal ventilation area of the observation group was larger than that of the control group, the nasal airway resistance was smaller than that of the control group, and the cilia movement rate was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of YKL-40 and TGF-β in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of interleukin-33(IL-33),interleukin-4(IL-4)and immunoglobulin E(IgE)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the level of interferon-γ(IFN-γ)was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Acetylcysteine combined with cetirizine hydrochloride and montelukast sodium in the treatment of allergic rhinitis can alleviate inflammation, regulate the levels of YKL-40 and TGF-β,and promote the recovery of nasal function, which is worthy of promotion.
