Effect of modified dacryocystorhinostomy with simple anastomosis of anterior valve on epiphora in patients with chronic dacryocystitis
Objective To investigate the effect of modified dacryocystorhinostomy with simple anastomosis of anterior valve on epiphora in patients with chronic dacryocystitis.Methods A total of 52 patients with chronic dacryocystitis admitted in our hospital from January 2019 to January 2022 were selected and divided into control group and observation group according to the difference of surgical methods,with 26 cases in each group.The control group was treated with conventional dacryocystorhinostomy,and the observation group was treated with modified dacryocystorhinostomy with simple anastomosis of anterior valve.The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared.Results At 1,3 and 6 months after operation,the formation rate of anastomotic granulation tissue in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05);at 1 month after operation,the epithelialization rate of nasal mucosa in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P＜0.05).At 1 month after operation,the score of epiphora degree in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05);at 6 months after operation,the lacrimal duct patency rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P＜0.05).At 1 month after operation,the levels of C-reactive protein(CRP)and interleukin-6(IL-6)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).The total incidence of surgical complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05).At 6 months after operation,the scores of psychological dimension and social dimension in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion The modified dacryocystorhinostomy with simple anastomosis of anterior valve in the treatment of patients with chronic dacryocystitis can prevent the formation of surrounding granulation tissue,promote the epithelialization of nasal mucosa,improve the condition of epiphora,reduce the inflammatory reaction,decrease the incidence of surgical complications,and elevate the quality of life of patients,which is worth promoting.
