Effects of telephone and WeChat follow-up on adherence to secondary prevention compliance and long-term prognosis in discharged patients with first cerebral infarction
Objective To investigate the effects of telephone and WeChat follow-up on adherence to secondary prevention compliance and long-term prognosis in discharged patients with first cerebral infarction. Methods A total of 98 patients with first cerebral infarction who were treated and discharged from January 2019 to December 2020 were selected as the research objects. The patients were divided into control group and study group by single and double number grouping method, with 49 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing+telephone follow-up,and the study group received WeChat follow-up on the basis of the control group. The adherence to secondary prevention compliance, neurological function recovery,self-care ability, cerebral infarction recurrence after discharge and health status were compared between the two groups. Results The total compliance rate of adherence to secondary prevention in the study group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Before intervention, there were no significant differences in Modified Rankin Scale(mRS)and Barthel Index(BI)scores between the two groups(P>0.05);after intervention, the mRS score of the study group was lower than that of the control group, the BI score was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The recurrence rate of cerebral infarction after discharge in the study group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The scores of each dimension of the MOS 36-Item Short Form Health Survey(SF-36)in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Telephone and WeChat follow-up can effectively improve patients'adherence to secondary prevention compliance, enhance their neurological function recovery,self-care ability and health status, ameliorate long-term prognosis, which is worthy of promotion and application.
