Analysis of risk factors of calf muscle vein thrombosis in elderly patients with lower extremity edema
Objective To explore the risk factors of calf muscle vein thrombosis(CMVT)in elderly patients with lower extremity edema. Methods The clinical data of 101 elderly patients with lower extremity edema admitted in our hospital from January 2020 to October 2021 were collected.According to whether CMVT occurred, the patients were divided into thrombus group and non-thrombus group.Multiple Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the risk factors of CMVT in elderly patients with lower extremity edema. Results Among 101 elderly patients with lower extremity edema,48 patients had CMVT and 53 patients had no CMVT.The results of univariate analysis showed that there were statistically significant differences in the proportion of diabetes mellitus,albumin,low-density lipoprotein(LDL),D-dimer(D-D),N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP)levels,Activities of Daily Living(ADL),Caprini grade, bed rest and anticoagulant medication between the two groups(P<0.05).Multiple Logistic regression analysis results showed that diabetes mellitus,LDL,D-D,NT-proBNP,ADL,Caprini classification and bed rest were risk factors for CMVT in elderly patients with lower extremity edema, and anticoagulant medication was a protective factor(P<0.05).Conclusion Diabetes mellitus, elevated levels of LDL,D-D and NT-proBNP,severe ADL,high risk above of Caprini and bed rest are risk factors for CMVT in elderly patients with lower extremity edema.Early screening and diagnosis and treatment of risk factors are of great significance to reduce the occurrence of CMVT.
