Influence of online teaching on test scores of internal medicine international students
Objective By comparing and analyzing the test scores of online teaching and offline teaching of clinical internal medicine,to provides experience accumulation and method discussion for improving the teaching quality of internal medicine international students.Methods Medical international students from the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University,who were assigned teaching tasks in 2015 and 2016,were selected as the research objects.Among them,a total of 69 international students in 2015 grade received regular offline English teaching of internal medicine,and the examination time was June 2019;a total of 62 international students in 2016 grade received optimized online English teaching of internal medicine,and the examination time was June 2020.The test scores of the two groups of international students were collected,and the test scores,pass rates and score range differences of the two groups were compared.Results The difficulty and distinguishability of the two examinations were comparable.The test score of offline teaching of internal medicine for international students was higher than that of online teaching(P<0.05);there was no significant difference in the passing rate of offline teaching and online teaching of internal medicine among international students(P>0.05).The proportion of offline teaching test scores ≥ 85 points,80-84 points and 70-79 points sections of internal medicine for international students were higher than those of online teaching,and the proportion of 60-69 points and failed sections were lower than those of online teaching(P<0.05).Conclusion The overall mastery of internal medicine knowledge of international students who receive offline teaching is better than that of online teaching,which is reflected in the higher proportion of excellent and good mastery of internal medicine knowledge among international students receiving offline teaching.The further optimization of online teaching mode should be aimed to strengthening the mastery of logical and abstract knowledge.
