Comparison of imaging diagnosis ability between multi-disciplinary team and case-based learning combined teaching method and traditional teaching mode in standardized training of residents
Objective To compare the imaging diagnostic ability of residents in standardized training under multi-disciplinary team(MDT)and case-based learning(CBL)combined teaching method and traditional teaching mode. Methods Sixty trainees who received standardized training of residents in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University were recruited and divided into MDT-CBL group and traditional teaching group by computer random grouping method, with 30 people in each group. The MDT-CBL group received the MDT-CBL combined teaching method, and the traditional teaching group received the traditional teaching mode. The test scores, ability self-rating scale scores and feedback questionnaire scores of the two groups were compared. Results The total scores, theoretical knowledge and case analysis of mid-term and final tests in the MDT-CBL group were higher than those in the traditional teaching group(P<0.001).In the mid-term and final self-assessment of abilities, the scores of self-study ability, clinical thinking ability, general thinking ability, teamwork ability, critical thinking ability,doctor-patient communication skills and imaging diagnosis ability in the MDT-CBL group were higher than those in the traditional teaching group(P<0.05).The scores of reasonable effectiveness, learning motivation, interest and psychological stress in the MDT-CBL group were higher than those in the traditional teaching group(P<0.001).Conclusion The MDT-CBL combined teaching method can better improve the imaging diagnosis ability of residents in standardized training.
